Bratři and Rome in Reverse Connect energies on New Single “Closer”
The collaboration between the Czech electronic duo and Italian producer Rome in Reverse blends techno, house and cinematic textures, expanding the dialogue between two European electronic scenes.

A meeting at the Amsterdam Dance Event has led to a new collaboration between the Czech electronic duo Bratři and Italian producer Rome in Reverse. Released on March 6, the single “Closer” brings together the rhythmic identity of the Veselí brothers with the cinematic sensibility of Antonella Pacifico, creating a track that moves between tension, atmosphere and melodic expansion.
Bratři, formed by twin brothers Jiří and Ondřej Veselí, have developed a distinctive presence within the Czech electronic landscape through performances that combine synthesizers, live drums and audiovisual elements. Their productions often explore the intersection of club energy and experimental textures, positioning the duo within a generation of artists redefining contemporary electronic performance in Central Europe.
For “Closer,” the duo invited Rome in Reverse whose work navigates between ambient, trance-techno, dub and downtempo influences. Based in Copenhagen, Pacifico has built a reputation for productions that combine vocal elements, immersive atmospheres and cinematic sound design.
The collaboration began after the artists met during the Amsterdam Dance Event, one of the central meeting points for the global electronic music community. What initially started as the idea for a house-oriented track gradually evolved into a more layered composition. According to Bratři, the direction changed naturally during the process, reflecting the exploratory nature of studio collaboration.
The resulting track develops through contrast and movement. It opens in a restrained atmosphere built on minimal elements and subtle tension before unfolding into a more melodic section where the emotional intensity expands. The structure then returns to darker tones, adding weight and depth as the track progresses. The composition balances dancefloor functionality with a more immersive listening experience, allowing details and textures to emerge when heard in headphones as well as in club environments.
The collaboration also extends beyond the studio. Rome in Reverse will join Bratři later this year as a guest during the duo’s tenth anniversary concert, scheduled for November 11, 2026 at Prague’s Roxy club. The event will bring together live drums, synthesizers and visual production as part of a retrospective performance celebrating a decade of the project.
With “Closer,” Bratři and Rome in Reverse establish a dialogue between the Czech and Italian electronic scenes while exploring a sound that moves between club culture and cinematic atmosphere. The single is now available across digital platforms.
