I Need Music Radio is an online radio station that was founded by four young people due to their inexhaustible passion for music, and which came to fruition in January 2012, together with its first broadcast and presentation through the world’s media.
Standing out for its constant search for innovation and diverse programming, this radio station is aimed at the general public, although with a focus on younger audiences (who enjoy nightlife, which is associated with all the variants of EDM – Electronic Dance Music). Although it focuses on EDM, I Need Music Radio defines itself as a generalist radio station in the sense that it covers several musical genres. With the most renowned DJs and producers of today, I Need Music Radio focuses on quality both in terms of broadcasting and in terms of the choice of daily schedule.
I Need Music Radio was founded in 2012, and after a few years of activity, it was considered a finished project. Having learned about the entire path taken by I Need Music Radio, and analyzing the merits achieved along the way, Rádio Lisboa decided to propose a new start for I Need Music Radio, where they provide all the technical and logistical support to make it a reality.
In partnership with Rádio Lisboa, I Need Music Radio was restructured in 2017, adapting to new streaming and online broadcasting technologies, as well as innovating in the radio’s professional management and administration resources.
We are aware that the administration of both radio stations, composed of dedicated professionals, are valued for their ethics in their strong commitment and passion for the art of radio broadcasting, and do not challenge their values for unilateral interests.
This partnership in no way changes the objectives and work philosophy of Rádio Lisboa or I Need Music Radio. With this cooperation, we are investing even more in national production, in the sharing of knowledge and in technological mutual assistance on a bilateral basis.
